Swim Suit Season

I hate swim suit season.  It always bothers me when they put out the bikinis now.  Even if I were in shape, I doubt I would rock a bikini as a mom.  I just think some things are better left behind.  I do however LOVE swim suit season for Ella.  I love all of the little girl swimsuits.  I decided to go with a two piece because, it will be easier for her to go to the bathroom.  They have water day at school and I don't want her to strip down completely.  I picked this swim suit up and Once Upon A Child (love that store) and she was very happy with it.  She was a little self conscious about her stomach being out but, I think she likes to wear it.  The kid loves water and will be happy when we buy a sprinkler.

I told her to smile and, this is what she gave me.  Modeling already...Oh boy!

Three

Ella will be three at the end of May.  I just can't believe how quickly time is passing.  I could go on and on about all of the things she's doing but, I am going to wait until her birthday to do so.
I have no shame in admitting that I am one of those moms that talks non stop about their child.  I am sure it may get annoying to my friend that don't have kids but, the ones that do seem to understand.  She's great and I am proud to be her mom.
Her compassion and sensitivity at such an young age softens me.  She is a beautiful little girl inside and out and, I cannot nor will I ever be able to imagine what life would be like without her.

Well Loved

Ella's most loved toy is her Bapo, I know I have written posts about him before and he's in almost EVERY picture.  Bapo is Ella's comfort spot, he's her best friend and, it's shows.  Ella loves her Bapo so much and takes him EVERYWHERE!! Bapo has been to Texas, California and soon, Michigan.  He's almost two and he is now blind.  He lost his first eye about a year ago.  Ella and Devin were out to dinner while I was at the dentist.  When they came to pick me up, Devin said something awful had happened.  His nose is scratched and his one eye started to kind of chip.  Yesterday, Devin took Ella over to his dads to drop off their truck.  I went to the store to go shopping for groceries.  When I came home Devin said, a terrible thing had happened and, showed me Bapo.  Poor Bapo is blind now.  I asked Ella what happened to him and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know....Captain Hook did it Mommy.  He's not nice" Of all of the 'scary' guys in Disney movies, Captain Hook is the one that scares her the most.  As both eye losses have been on Daddy's watch, I am thinking he's living a double life.  I do know 100% that Bapo is a very very well loved toy.

Their First Bonding Moment

Daughters

Can I just say, I love having a daughter.  Ella is such a little girl now and everything is about Princess's and Fairies.  She gets overly excited about painting nails.  I don't paint her finger nails because, I don't like that she bites them.  However, we do paint her toes.  She loves the time and she likes picking out colors.  I love Ella so much and I love that right now I'm her best friend.  I cannot express enough, how lucky I feel to be blessed with such a wonderful little girl.
