My little Valentine

I love that Ella is at the age now where she's starting to understand holidays.  Even more than that, I love that she gets so excited about them.  Her daycare had a Valentines Party yesterday and she was so excited.  When we went to the store to pick out the cards, I figured it would take ages for her to choose.  She picked out her cards in two seconds, I was really quite shocked.  Of course she chose a Disney Princess.  Her classmates all got Cinderella Valentines and Cinderella tattoos.  As most of her class is boys, I am sure they really loved them.  As usual we got her a holiday outfit and she was very excited about it.  In the morning I decided to take her picture because she looked extra pretty.  This child definitely inherited her fathers smile.  The two of them either slightly smile with their eyes closed OR I get great big cheesy smiles. Cheesy obviously works for me though =)

Devin isn't huge on Valentines Day, he says that everyday should be treated like Valentines.  I get what he's saying but at the same time, I like knowing that people feel extra special.  He goes along with the holiday because he knows how much I love it (this is true with most holidays) That is one of the reasons why I love him so much.
Anyway, him being the sweetheart he is brought me a beautiful bouquet of roses (my favorite) to work for me as well as chocolate covered strawberries.  It was very sweet of him and made me all warm and fuzzy inside.  We got buggy a book and Devin bought her a single rose.  When we picked Ella up and he had the flower, she got SO excited.  She loves her daddy very much.  Ella and I are very spoiled.

Chatter Bug

I am so behind on blogging, it's a little bit ridiculous.  This time of year at work is nuts and I cherish my weekends.  I will catch up soon enough, mind you, I think my mom is the only one who reads it and she knows everything that has happened already....so Hi Mom :)

I figured I would take a second while Devin is reading Ella her bed time story to write a few things down.  Ella has been talking sooooooooooooo much!! She says the funniest things and I don't want to forget them all.  I assume they're not as cute to everyone as they are to us but I want to write them down so I can look back.  Here it goes:

We say, sorry about that buggy.  She has started saying Sorry d'bout.

She LOVES her hair...she combs her hair all of the time and will tell us how beautiful her Punzle Princess (Rapunzel) hair is.

Instead of saying oh my goodness, she says Oh my Golly

She will frequently tell me that I am her best friend

She will also frequently tell me I am cute like her

We were making homemade noodles and Devin was explaning the process to her, out of nowhere she said: That's Amazing Daddy

When asking how old she'll be on her next birthday she'll hold up three fingers and say: W...close bug close

Every time we get in the car, she thinks we're going to Pinetop to see Papa Moosie, Grandma Washie and Sylvie

When asked where Grandma Jody and Papa Han live she'll say: Hiho (Ohio) she also is under the impression they live with Snow White

When you ask what her name is she'll say: Ella Noon (Yun) Pierce

She thinks that all of the boogers in her nose are for Daddy

She talks about brothers and sisters all of the time (I GET THE HINT)

When Devin was explaining the difference between dizzy and busy, her response was: What are you talking about Daddy???

She amazes us with how much she talks and the fact that she is using whole sentences.  She is a smart little girl and recognizes all of her capital letters.  I just cannot believe she is almost three.  This little girl continues to melt our hearts more and more with each day.  Everything is an adventure for her and I love watching her light up when learning something new.  Being a mom is definitely one of the best things that has ever happened to me...aside from Devin :)  She is a sensitive, sweet, and stubborn little girl.  We love you Ella Noon Pierce.
